Don’t miss An Evening with the Hafso Sisters! This performance is a benefit for the Spokane Area Youth Choirs. The evening will also include a silent auction to support the programs of SAYC.

The Hafso Sisters return to Spokane for a second time in a cabaret featuring their favorite music, this time at the beautiful Bing Crosby Theater. Primarily in Southern California, they perform professionally at various theaters and performance venues. Collectively, they have worked at: The Old Globe, San Diego Musical Theatre, Moonlight Stage Productions, Lamb’s Players Theatre, North Coast Repertory Theatre, Welk Resort Theatre, Cygnet Theatre, Intrepid Theatre Company, and locally, Inland Northwest Opera, Lake City Playhouse and Spokane Civic Theatre. Kyrsten and Siri currently reside in San Diego, California while Lise has recently moved back to the Northwest. The cabaret will feature musical theatre (classic and contemporary), folk, jazz, and some original music. They will be joined by local musicians and members of the Spokane Area Youth Choirs.

Judy Pearson Hafso, Artistic Director

Through the study, rehearsal, and performance of choral music, Spokane Area Youth Choirs (SAYChoirs) provides a joyful and challenging musical experience for musicians from age seven to 18. Choristers are introduced to healthy vocal technique, musical theory, music history, and a variety of literature and performance styles. In addition, SAYC offers the ABC program, a beginning choir for 5 and 6 year-olds, focused on the Kodaly method; and Le Donne, a choir for adult women. SAYChoirs has touched the lives of over a thousand choristers and countless audience members since its founding, through rehearsals, concerts, guest performances, and tours around the world. The choral experience instills essential life skills in youth people, including cooperation, self-confidence, focus, and dedication. Successive choir levels build on these skills and provide a positive space for growth, expression, and artistry.
